  • Maintained books & budgets for service organization with a ~$70k / year budget

Saxon Hill Advisory Board, Town of Essex

  • Collected community feedback on resident goals and use for newly acquired parkland
  • The park is regionally famous as a mountain bike destination, even though it's surrounded by an industrial park
  • Advocated to tweak zoning to allow restaurants and retail, so travelers could more easily stop and spend money in Essex

One Essex PAC

  • Created Political Action Committee to merge the Town of Essex with the Village of Essex Junction
  • Ran a positive, fact-based campaign with the slogan “One Essex, One Community”
  • Lost the March vote by 19 votes, and the April re-vote by 26

  • Ran for Democratic nomination to replace retiring Linda Myers (R-Essex)
  • Was top House fundraiser for July 2019 reporting period, as rookie candidate
  • Came in 3rd to Marybeth Redmond (D-Essex) and Tanya Vyhovsky (P/D-Essex) by 96 votes
  • Reps. Redmond & Vyhovsky won the general 3,200 / 2,200 / 1,800 / 1,800

  • Performed software consulting for clients both large and small
  • Had folks working for me briefly, but, learned I was better at technology than sales
  • Often was hired for a six-month or year project. Most would be happy with my work, and then offer contract extensions to stay for another project. I'd stay if the next project was interesting
  • Small includes Reconda International (a software startup in NJ) and Bridge360 (a small consultancy in Austin)
  • Large includes IBM, Merrill Lynch, Bank of America, Lockheed Martin, and the Wayne Fueling Systems division of GE
  • Government projects included US Census, UK Census, and the NJ Division of Family Development
  • On some projects, performed as developer. In others, managed teams as large as 13
  • Skills include ability to listen to various stakeholders (such as development, testing, sales, marketing, support), and balance competing groups' needs for the best of the team

  • Completed 8 Ironman triathlons, including Hawaii 2x
  • 1989 Vermont State Ice Hockey Champion: Starting Goaltender
  • Have completed a triathlon in 46 states. Would have finished all 50 in 2020 but for pandemic
  • Ran Track & Cross-Country at Division I Cornell
  • Raced semi-professionally 2004 – 2006, based jointly in Texas and Australia.
  • Qualified for a professional license with 16th overall at Ironman Wisconsin
